Nathalie (Nathie) and Robert’s love story started like many millennial love stories do: cocktails in hand, eggs benedict at a trendy restaurant, and full hearts for a budding romance with so much potential. Little did they know that this brunch date would be different than all the rest – this one would lead them to their future spouses. When they got engaged, they instantly knew that there would be no other way to tie the knot than with an outdoor ceremony, somewhere in nature with great views and a beautiful garden, and of course, over brunch and old fashions. Their entire wedding day intertwined the old with the new. Nathie held a beautiful bouquet that encompassed their favorite colors, oat, toap, peach, and sage, adorned with her great grandmother’s gold pendant.

Their wedding service was held in both Spanish and English, weaving in their Columbian, Peruvian, and El Salvadorian heritages. Through the walls of The Restaurant at Patowmack Farms, a live green house and farm-to-table restaurant along the Potomac River, you could hear the party going with celebratory cheers of “Pa’ riba, pa’ bajo,’ pa’ centro, y pa dentro!” A common cheer in Latin America. They kept it small, intimate, and fun with just their closest family and friends present… the perfect way to begin their marriage.
